Remove bolt on steering shaft side of universal joint.

2.

Remove Steering Bevel Gear

Remove three mounting bolts to remove steering bevel gear assembly from bracket.

Note:

Do not remove bracket from vehicle.

3.

Remove Steering Bevel Gear Housing Cover

a.

Hold bevel gear housing firmly in a vise.

b.

Remove five bolts to remove the housing cover.

Note:

If it is difficult to remove the housing cover, tap the end of the cover lightly with a plastic hammer.
