Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair
Removal

2GR-FE INTAKE / EXHAUST: EXHAUST MANIFOLD: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Removal

2. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal

and Replacement/Removal

3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

4. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER

5. REMOVE PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY (for AWD)

(a) Remove the propeller with center bearing shaft assembly    See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Drive/Propeller Shafts, Bearings and

Joints/Drive/Propeller Shaft/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal.

6. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL   See: Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

7. REMOVE INLET NO. 2 AIR CLEANER   See: Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

8. REMOVE FRONT NO. 3 EXHAUST PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the 2 clamps and oxygen sensor connector (for Bank 1 Sensor 2).

(b) Remove the grommet.

(c) Remove the 4 bolts, 2 nuts, 2 compression springs and front No. 3 exhaust pipe sub-assembly.
