Adjustment Value, Checking Values  

Engine				17 DT, X 17 DT (TC 4 EE 1)
Valve clearance (cold)
	Intake:		mm	0.15
	Exhaust:		mm	0.25
	Adjustment			Exchange of shims
Compression			kPa (bar)	1700 to 2800 (17 to 28)
				The pressure difference between individual cylinders in the complete engine should not exceed 150 kPa (1.5 bar).
Pressure loss check				Max. pressure loss 25% per cylinder
Idle speed			rpm	780 to 880
Upper idle speed			rpm	5200
Charge pressure			kPa (bar)	72 (0.72) at 4400 rpm

 
When checking idle speeds, note:  

-  Electrical consumer switched off.  

-  Engine at operating temperature (oil temperature ≥ 80 ° C / 176 ° F).
