Oil Pump, Check (X 17 DTL)
 Remove, Disconnect Remove oil pump - see operation "Oil Pump, Remove and Install". Remove safety valve (1) and oil pump cover (2) from oil pump.
 Inspect Clean all parts. Check oil pump, oil pump cover and safety valve for signs of wear. Check indentation of gear and tooth backlash with feeler gauge and straight-edge.

 Important! When assembling oil pump, ensure that marks (1) and (2) on outer and inner rotors align.
 Install, Connect Install oil pump cover on oil pump - tightening torque 6 Nm/4 lbf. ft. Install safety valve with new seal ring on oil pump - tightening torque 30 Nm/22 lbf. ft. Install oil pump - see operation "Oil Pump, Remove and Install". |
