Vehicles with AF 22 automatic transmission and TC (Traction Control) System:

Apply parking brake

Engine running at idle speed

Selector lever in "P" or "N"

Vehicle travelling and drive wheels not spinning

TC case triggered by driver

(vehicle travelling and drive wheels spin

or

jack up vehicle - all four wheels free - engage gear/engage clutch and accelerate to full throttle briefly)

·   Ignition OFF

·   Disconnect Traction Control wiring harness plug.

·   Ignition ON

·   Using TECH 1, select test step no. 30

·   Short circuit to ground

from:      transmission control unit wiring harness plug Ter. 4

to:          Traction Control wiring harness plug Ter. 4

·   Transmission control unit defective.

·   Bridge Traction Control wiring harness plug:

from:      Traction Control wiring harness plug Ter. 12

to:          ground, Ter. 31

ACTIVE             0V

·   Circuit interruption

from:      transmission control unit wiring harness plug Ter. 4

to:          Traction Control wiring harness plug Ter. 4

·   Short circuiit to voltage

from:      transmission control unit wiring harness plug Ter. 4

·   Transmission control unit defective.
