Steering Gear, Seal - Power Steering  

Object Number: 616191  Size: DEFAULT  Remove, Disconnect   

For vehicles with right-hand drive: Remove the steering gear - see operation "Steering gear Remove and Install (Vehicles with Right-hand Drive)" For all vehicles: Release all piping as well as pressure and return lines from the steering gear.  

Object Number: 616195  Size: DEFAULT  Clean   

Clean sealing surfaces and lines.  

Object Number: 616201  Size: DEFAULT  Important!   

Always renew seal rings. Sealing operations are to be carried out with extreme care.

Object Number: 616192  Size: DEFAULT  Install, Connect   

Right-hand drive vehicles: Bolt pipe lines to the steering gear - tightening torque 28 Nm/20.5 lbf. ft. Neither of the pipe lines may lie on the folding covers.  

Bolt the pressure and return lines to the steering gear - tightening torque 28 Nm/20.5 lbf. ft.  

For vehicles with right-hand drive: Remove the steering gear - see operation "Steering gear Remove and Install (Vehicles with Right-hand Drive)".  

All vehicles: Charge and bleed the hydraulic system - see operation "Hydraulic System, Charge and Bleed".
