Steering Wheel and/or Slip Contact Ring, Remove and Install (Procedure without Airbag)  

  Remove, Disconnect   

Withdraw the cover cap with signal knob from the steering wheel. Bend up the steering wheel locking plate (1) and release nut (2). Withdraw the steering wheel with KM-210-B from the steering spindle, indicate the assembly position on the steering spindle.     Install, Connect    If necessary, install new contact ring in steering wheel hub. When installed, the turn signal switch segment points toward the left. Lubricate the slip area of the contact fingers on the contact plate with contact agent.   Push on the steering wheel, fit the steering wheel locking plate and fixing nut -tightening torque 20 Nm. Secure the fixing nut with the steering wheel locking plate. Clip the cover cap with signal head.     Inspect    Check the straight ahead position of the steering - see operation "Straight Ahead Position, Check/Adjust".
