Glass Breakage Monitor
If a vehicle window is broken, the ultrasonic noise is recognised and reported by the glass breakage sensor.
The glass breakage monitor can also be specially omitted from the ATWS functions. To do this, the button in the interior lamp is pressed with the ignition off before locking the vehicle (switching on ATWS). The telltale in the hazard warning lamps switch then flashes for 10 seconds as confirmation and then extinguishes.

The maximum number of alarms triggered by the glass breakage monitor during one armed phase depends on the relevant national legislation (see 8.2.7, Country Codes" in this section).
