Battery Terminals

 

 

Vehicles:

 

Model Year '95:                     Corsa-B, Tigra, Astra-F, Vectra/Cavalier, Calibra

Model Year '94 1/2 and '95:  Omega-B

 

 

Condition:

 

Voltage loss in vehicle electrical system due to inadequate contact between positive or ground leads and battery terminals.

 

 

Remedy:

 

During the next workshop visit, inspect the M6x10 bolts fastening the positive and ground leads to the battery terminals.

 

 

·     Corroded or yellow-chromated bolts (yellowish glint) must be replaced with tin-plated bolts.

 

·     If the bolts are replaced, all volatile memories must be reprogrammed.

 

 

In affected vehicles, this work must be performed for the customer free of charge.
