·   Disconnect driver's door wiring harness plug X 31

·   Remove driver's door ECWW switch S 37.1

·   Measure between wiring harness plug X 31 (door side) and S 37.1

Possible faults:

(if nominal value is not attained)

 

Measured resistance higher than nominal value:

1.  Interruption between ECWW switch S 37.1 and ECWW switch wiring harness plug, driver's door X 49.

2.  ECWW switch wiring harness plug, driver's door X 49 disconnected.

3.  Interruption in driver's door wiring harness between wiring harness plug X 49 and ECWW motor M 47.

4.  ECWW motor M 47 defective.

 

 

Measured resistance lower than nominal value (less than 10 W):

1.  Short circuit to ground between ECWW switch S 37.1 and ECWW switch wiring harness plug, driver's door X 49.

2.  Short circuit to ground in driver's door wiring harness between wiring harness plug X 49 and ECWW motor M 47.

3.  Short circuit to ground in ECWW motor M 47.
