Immobiliser with Transponder  

Immobiliser Control Unit, Remove and Install  

  Important!   

If the immobiliser control unit is being replaced, it must be reprogrammed - see corresponding Checking Procedures.  

Notice: 

Because of the different versions of the ignition lock housing, there are two different assembly procedures.  

In the case of spare parts control equipment - immobilisers without clips can be exchanged for control units with clips. For control units with clips new ignition lock apertures are necessary. These can also be used with control units without clips.  

  Remove, Disconnect   

Remove signal switch panelling - 5 fastening bolts (arrows). Remove ignition key and ignition lock cover. Disconnect wiring harness plug from immobiliser control unit. Unclip immobiliser control unit from ignition lock housing and pull out forwards.     1  Control unit immobiliser   2  Ignition lock cover   3  Transponder key   4  Transponder   5  Lock cylinder   6  Ignition lock housing

  Install, Connect   

Slide immobiliser control unit onto ignition lock housing and clamp tightly.   Connect wiring harness plug (2) to immobiliser control unit.   Place on ignition lock cover (1).   Install signal switch panelling.

Possibility 2: Ignition lock housing with clips  

  Remove, Disconnect   

Remove signal switch panelling.auen.   Withdraw ignition key (3) and ignition lock aperture (2)   Witdraw lock cylinder - immobiliser (1) from ignitionlock housing (5).   Unlock and withdaw cable harness plug.     Install, Connect    Fit cable harness plug.   Control unit - push immobiliser on ignition lock housing.   Install lock cylinder.   Insert ignition lock aperture and fit signal switch panelling.
