Only for vehicles with diesel
engines (except 25 DT)
Note:
In vehicles with diesel
engines (except 25 DT), the fuel cutoff solenoid valve is actuated by the
immobiliser control unit. For evaluation of these signals, a control unit has
been added to the fuel cutoff solenoid valve and this control unit has to be
reprogrammed when the immobiliser control unit is replaced. As the fuel
cutoff solenoid valve is not capable of diagnosis, it cannot be programmed
with TECH 1. Carry out the following procedure to inform the fuel cutoff
solenoid valve that reprogramming is to occur.
Step
1: Ignition OFF
Step
2: Press key F7 in the system main menu, select DIESEL CUT. S. using the arrow keys and
confirm with YES. Follow the instructions on the TECH 1 display.
Step
3: Ignition OFF
Step
4: Ignition ON
Step
5: Wait 10 seconds
Important:
Repeat step 3 to step 5 ten
times!
A counter appears at the lower
left corner of the TECH 1 display, indicating the number of repeats
remaining. Once the 10 operations are completed, the fuel cutoff solenoid
valve is quickly switched open and closed (audibly) several times
consecutively. This noise indicates that the imo signal can now be programmed
into the control unit of the fuel cutoff solenoid valve. To program the imo
signal, steps 3 to 5 must be repeated another ten times.
