Fuel Cutoff Solenoid Valve, Program

Conditions for Checking

Nominal Value

Affected terminals:            -

Possible trouble code:       -

Only for vehicles with diesel engines (except 25 DT)

Note:

In vehicles with diesel engines (except 25 DT), the fuel cutoff solenoid valve is actuated by the immobiliser control unit. For evaluation of these signals, a control unit has been added to the fuel cutoff solenoid valve and this control unit has to be reprogrammed when the immobiliser control unit is replaced. As the fuel cutoff solenoid valve is not capable of diagnosis, it cannot be programmed with TECH 1. Carry out the following procedure to inform the fuel cutoff solenoid valve that reprogramming is to occur.

Step 1:    Ignition OFF

Step 2:    Press key F7 in the system main menu, select DIESEL CUT. S. using the arrow keys and confirm with YES. Follow the instructions on the TECH 1 display.

Step 3:    Ignition OFF

Step 4:    Ignition ON

Step 5:    Wait 10 seconds

Important:

Repeat step 3 to step 5 ten times!

A counter appears at the lower left corner of the TECH 1 display, indicating the number of repeats remaining. Once the 10 operations are completed, the fuel cutoff solenoid valve is quickly switched open and closed (audibly) several times consecutively. This noise indicates that the imo signal can now be programmed into the control unit of the fuel cutoff solenoid valve. To program the imo signal, steps 3 to 5 must be repeated another ten times.

If the display on the right appears, programming was successful.

DIESEL CUTOFF S. PROGRAMMING COMPLETED!

If DIESEL CUTOFF S. PROGRAMMING PROGRAMMING FAILED! appears on the display, a fault has occurred during programming. Repeat the programming of the fuel cutoff solenoid valve.

Note:

At the time of installation, new fuel cutoff solenoid valves are in delivery status. If, after installation, the same imo signal is transferred three times from the immobiliser control unit with the ignition ON, this code is written in the permanent memory of the fuel cutoff solenoid valve control unit. The control unit then enters the operational mode.
