Features Specific to this System
If a fault is recognized, its function is switched off. If trouble code 51 occurs, the board computer and Check Control functions are switched off completely.
IMPORTANT: After completion of diagnosis, any trouble codes that may be stored for a test step must be deleted.
Note: If the radio is switched on at the same time as setting or programming of the Multi-Info-Display with TECH 1, the Multi-Info-Display electronics system may fail. In this case, the Multi-Info-Display will only function after the battery has been disconnected and the system then reprogrammed.
Setting or programming may only be carried out with the radio switched off, engine OFF and ignition ON.
