Field Remedy: 1245
Remedy:Note: As of TIS-CD 40 the T-Numbers of TSB 1245 will become invalid. Please use TSB 1410 instead. In case of complaint, it is permitted in this case, contradicting the Service-Instruction,to work at the Airbag-System. The wiring harness of seat is to be replaced and wiring harness of body is to be repaired. Repairkits with the corresponding parts for all models available with the following catalog- and partnumbers: Caution! Repair of wiring harness of body is to be performed exclusivly by use of special tool KM-923-31. During repair works on airbag-system the "Safty-Instructions for pyrotechnical system" in "Introduction" Service-Instruction have to be attended without fail. Repair of wiring harness of body may be carried out only by specialists with corresponding proir knowledge in wiring harness repair and in compliance with greatest care. Work-instruction for Corsa-B: 1) Open bonnet, disconnect battery clamp (wait 1 minute until condensors in
ECU are unloaded).
2) Remove front seat - see work procedure "remove and reinstall front seat"
in unit "C" of service instruction.
3) Remove insulating tape from wiring harness of body. 4) Cut wiring harness of body 13 centimetres after plug. 5) Strip wiring harness of body, install shrink sleeve and cable sleeve. Caution!
6) Repair kit has the cable colours blue and brown. While crimping the
polarity of wiring harness of body and of the plugs from repair kit has
to be attended(Brown-Brown, Blue-White)!
7) Position and shrink shrink sleeve.
8) Rewind wiring harness of body with insulating tape and fix cable sleeve
with insulating tape.
9) Loose and remove trim of front seat back partially - see work procedure
"remove and reinstall back of front seat" in unit "C" of service
instruction.
10) Disconnect and remove wiring harness plug of side-airbag.
11) Remove wiring harness of side-airbag.
12) Remove and reinstall clips.
13) Install and connect wiring harness plug of repair kit.
14) Lay wiring harness and fix with clips (Pic.I)
15) Install and upholster trim of back of front seat.
16) Install front seat in vehicle.
17) Install and connect wiring harness plug of side-airbag.
18) Install and connect wiring harness plug of front seat.
19) Connect battery.
20) Delete troublecode.
21) Programm volatile memories.

2) Remove front seat - see work procedure "remove and reinstall front seat"
in unit "C" of service instruction.
3) Open angle plug. 4) Remove insulation tape from wiring harness of body. 5) Remove corrugated protection. 6) Crimping should be positioned in area of angle plug. 7) Cut wiring harness of body. 8) Strip wiring harness of body, install shrink sleeve and cable sleeve. Caution! 9) Repair kit has the cable colours blue and brown. While crimping the
polarity of wiring harness of body and of the plugs from repair kit has
to be attended (Brown-Brown, Blue-White)!
10) Position and shrink shrink sleeve.
11) Install corrugated protection.
12) Rewind wiring harness with insulating tape and fix corrugated protection.
13) Fix cable sleeve with insulating tape.
14) Install wiring harness of body on angle plug and close angle plug.
15) Loose and remove trim of front seat back partially - see work procedure
"remove and reinstall back of front seat" in unit "C" of service
instruction.
16) Disconnect and remove wiring harness plug of side-airbag.
17) Remove wiring harness plug of side-airbag.
18) Install and connect wiring harness plug of repair kit.
19) Lay wiring harness and fix with clips (pic.I).
20) Install and upholster trim of back of front seat
21) Install front seat in vehicle.
22) Install and connect wiring harness plug of side-airbag.
23) Install and connect wiring harness plug of front seat.
24) Connect battery.
25) Delete troublecode.
26) Programm volatile memories.

18) Install front seat in vehicle.
19) Install and connect wiring harness plug of side-airbag.
20) Install and connect wiring harness plug of front seat.
21) Connect battery.
22) Delete troublecode.
23) Programm volatile memories.
