Brake Drum, Remove and Install
 Remove

Remove relevant rear wheel.
With worn brake drum, insert screwdriver through bore hole (1)
and push brake shoe back in order to bring cam over the parking
brake shoe lever.
Unscrew detent screw (2) and remove brake drum.
 Clean
Clean brake drum.

Inspect
Check brake drum for cracks and check stop surface of brake
shoes for grooves – precision turn brake drum if necessary
– see operation "Brake Drum, Precision Turn" or renew brake
drum.
Caution
In general, both brake drums must be machined or renewed. Only
use approved machining equipment. Observe manufacturer's
instructions!
 Adjust
Adjust drum brake – see operation "Drum Brake,
Adjust".
Install
Attach brake disc with detent screw to wheel hub –
tightening torque 4 Nm / 3 lbf. ft. Attach rear wheel –
tightening torque 110 Nm / 81 lbf. ft.
Adjust
Adjust parking brake – see operation "Parking Brake,
Adjust".
