Preliminary Diagnostic Check (Visual Inspection)

• Check the following component for proper operation:
  Check tyre condition and size
  Rear wheels
  and
  Front wheels
  (significantly different tyre sizes)

Test okay?

Check: Mechanical Functionality

• Vehicle jacked-up so that the wheels can turn freely
• Check the following component for damage and contamination:
  B52L Sensor - Wheel Speed, Front, Left

Mechanical function check okay?

Check: Mechanical Functionality

• Check the following component for damage and contamination:
  B52R Sensor - Wheel Speed, Front, Right

Mechanical function check okay?

Check: Mechanical Functionality

• Check the following component for damage and contamination:
  B76L Sensor - Wheel Speed, Rear, Left

Mechanical function check okay?

Check: Mechanical Functionality

• Check the following component for damage and contamination:
  B76R Sensor - Wheel Speed, Rear, Right

Cause Of Fault

• Defective component:
  A37 Control Unit - Anti-Lock Brake System

Important:

For vehicles with ESP, the Steering Angle Sensor and the Yaw Rate Sensor have to be calibrated by using the diagnostic tester after replacing the control unit.

• Defective component:
  B76R Sensor - Wheel Speed, Rear, Right

• Defective component:
  B76L Sensor - Wheel Speed, Rear, Left

• Defective component:
  B52R Sensor - Wheel Speed, Front, Right

• Defective component:
  B52L Sensor - Wheel Speed, Front, Left

• Defective/wrong component:
  Front wheels
  and/or
  Rear wheels
  (significantly different tyre sizes)
