Brake Shoes > < Brake Backing Plate - Rear Wheel, Remove and Install

Brake Anchor Plate – Rear Wheel Brake, Remove and Install

  Remove

1.   Top up brake fluid reservoir to "MAX" marking and seal with MKM-558-10
2.   Detach rear wheel
3.   Remove brake drum
4.   Remove brake shoes of the rear wheel brake LUREF_1.gif
5.   Remove wheel brake cylinder (1) LUREF_1.gif
6.   Detach retaining clip (4) and remove parking brake cable (3) from brake anchor plate
7.   Detach wheel bearing unit (2) with brake anchor plate from rear axle

  Install

8.   Attach brake anchor plate to rear axle with wheel bearing unit
9.   Insert parking brake cable in brake anchor plate and attach new retaining clip.
10.   Install wheel brake cylinder LUREF_1.gif
11.   Install brake shoes on rear wheel brake LUREF_1.gif
12.   Install brake drum
13.   Fit rear wheel 110 Nm
14.   Bleed brake system and check for leaks LUREF_1.gif
15.   Actuate brake pedal repeatedly
16.   Top up brake fluid to "MAX" mark
