Replace oil dipstick guide tube > < Replace oil pressure switch

Replace engine oil level sensor

  Remove

1.   Open bonnet
2.   Disconnect battery
•   Detach earth connection from earth terminal
– Slacken 1x nut
3.   Raise vehicle by its full height
4.   Detach the lower engine cover and right engine splash guard
5.   Place collecting basin underneath.
6.   Drain engine oil
•   Unscrew oil drain bolt (3)
•   Replace gasket
•   Tighten oil drain bolt 78.4 Nm
7.   Detach lower part of oil pan (1) from upper part of oil pan (2) with KM-J-37228
•   Unscrew 15x bolts

8.   Remove engine oil level sensor
•   Remove retaining clamp (1)
•   Unscrew 3x bolts (2)

  Install

9.   Install engine oil level sensor
•   Replace gasket
•   Tighten 3x bolt 24 Nm
•   Install retaining clamp
10.   Clean sealing surfaces.
11.   Remove lower part of oil pan
•   Apply a bead of silicone sealant (grey) to the sealing surfaces of the lower part of the oil pan
•   Tighten 15x bolt 9.8 Nm
12.   Install lower engine cover and right engine splash guard
13.   Lower vehicle
14.   Top up engine oil
•   Check oil level
15.   Connect battery
•   Attach ground connection to ground terminal
– Tighten nut
16.   Program volatile memories
17.   Close bonnet
