Vacuum Pump, Remove and Install > < Vacuum Pump, Remove and Install

Replace engine oil filling nozzle

  Remove

1.   Open bonnet
2.   Remove engine cover (1)
•   Pull off engine cover
Note:   Re-attach any retaining rubbers (2) to the engine cover which may have become detached

3.   Remove charge air hose (1)
•   Undo 2 clamps

4.   Detach intake connection piece (1) from throttle valve module
•   Unscrew 2x bolts (2)

5.   Remove brake servo vacuum line
•   Undo quick-release fitting (1)
6.   Remove engine oil filling nozzle (3)
•   Detach engine vent hose (2)
Release clamp
•   Unscrew 3 bolts
Object Number: 3446063  Size: DEFAULT


  Install

7.   Clean sealing surface
8.   Clean 3x threads
9.   Install engine oil filling nozzle
•   Insert new gasket
•   Tighten 3x bolts
Note:   Clean thread before re-using and insert bolt with locking compound (red). The maximum installation time including torque check is 10 minutes.
•   Attach engine venting hose
Fasten clamp
10.   Attach brake servo vacuum connection
Important:   Connection must audibly engage
•   Connect quick release fitting
•   Clip into bracket
11.   Attach intake port to throttle valve module
•   Replace gasket
Note:   Coat with special grease (white)
•   Tighten 2x bolts
12.   Fit intercooler charge air hose to throttle valve connection
•   Fasten 2x clamp 3.5 Nm
13.   Install engine cover
•   Clip in 4x
14.   Close bonnet
