| Complaint: |
Oil leakage at camshaft cover area near
camshaft bearing bridge. Mainly concerned are the screw holes for
soleniod connection and middle hole for fixation of the camshaft
cover. |
| Cause: |
Thread hole drilled too deep or casting
defect. |
| Production: |
Introduction of an additional leak test as
of engine number 20LA1880 (30.10.2007). |
Remedy:
In case of customer complaint the affected screw has to be removed,
cleaned and reinstalled with locking compound (partnumber: 90542117 /
cataloguenumber: 15 10 181). See picture I, arrows.
