Camshaft Adjustment Valves, Replace

  Remove

1.   Open bonnet
2.   Place collecting basin underneath.
3.   Unclip wiring harness from cylinder head
4.   Remove 2x valve, camshaft adjustment (3)
•   Disconnect 2x wiring harness plugs (1)
•   Unscrew 2x bolts (2)
•   Draw 2x camshaft adjustment valve out of bearing support

  Install

5.   Install 2x valve, camshaft adjustment
•   Insert 2x camshaft adjustment valve as far as the stop
– Coat seal rings with clean engine oil
•   Tighten 2x bolt 6 Nm
•   Connect 2x wiring harness plugs
6.   Clip wiring harness on to cylinder head
7.   Check engine oil level and correct if necessary
8.   Close bonnet
