The following test steps must be performed in the given order. If a fault is found in one test step, the subsequent test steps can be skipped.
Function Checks
- Check air filter for fouling and correct mounting.
- Check all vacuum lines of the following component for tightness and proper installation:
Intake hose
Throttle-housing
Y123 Solenoid Valve - Tank Ventilation
Y18 Actuator - Recirculation
Brake Booster
- Check hose connectors and fittings on intake system / vacuum system
- Check intake system for plugging
- Check the following component for tightness and proper installation:
Oil Dipstick
Oil Filler Cap
- Check the following component for damage, contamination and correct installation:
Throttle-housing
