Planetary Gear Set P1, Dismantle and Assemble

 Remove
Important: Secure converter so it
does not fall out

Remove transmission
|

Attach transmission to KM-694-A

Attach assembly to KM-113-2 (1)

| 3. |
Remove oil drain bolt (3)

Drain transmission fluid and collect for damage diagnosis 
|

|
|
| 6. |
Remove drive shaft assembly (2) with multi-plate clutch C1 and
C2
|
| 7. |
Remove planetary gear set P1 (3)
|
|
|
| 8. |
Remove planetary carrier assembly (1) with friction washer
(2)

Remove thrust bearing (3)
Note: Note installation
position.

| 9. |
Remove rear ring gear (4) with thrust bearing (5) from sun gear
(6)
Note: Note installation
position of thrust bearing.

| 10. |
Remove flange from rear ring gear
| • |
Prise off retainer (7) with screwdriver
|
| • |
Remove flange (9) from rear ring gear (8)
|
|
|
| 11. |
Measure inner diameter of planetary carrier assembly
bushing
Note: If necessary,
replace planetary carrier assembly (1)
| • |
Carry out multiple measurements using dial gauge MKM-571-B and inner diameter probe and form an
average
Note: Measured value:
30.0 to 30.03 mm.

Measure inner diameter of sun gear bushing
Note: Replace sun gear
(2) if necessary.

Carry out multiple measurements using dial gauge MKM-571-B and inner diameter probe and form an
average
Note: Measured value:
21.50 to 21.53 mm.

|
|
Install
|
| 13. |
Insert flange (2) in rear ring gear (3) and secure with new
retainer (1)
|
| 14. |
Place rear ring gear (5) with thrust bearing (6) on sun gear
(7)
Note: Note installation
position of thrust ring.

| 15. |
Insert planetary carrier assembly with friction washer
| • |
Place thrust bearing (4) on rear ring gear
Note: Note installation
position.

| • |
Insert planetary carrier assembly (8) with friction washer
(9)
|
|
|
|
| 16. |
Install planetary gear set P1 (1)
|
| 17. |
Install drive shaft assembly (2) with multi-plate clutch C1 and
C2
|
| 18. |
Install rear cover (3)
|
|
Important: Secure converter so it
does not fall out
|
| 19. |
Install converter
|
| 20. |
Attach oil drain bolt (3) to transmission with seal ring
Note: Use new seal
ring.
| • |
Tighten oil drain bolt 40 Nm
|
|
| 21. |
Detach transmission assembly with KM-694-A from KM-113-2
(1)
| • |
Detach transmission from KM-694-A
(2)
|
|
| 22. |
Install transmission
| • |
Top up with transmission fluid
|
|
| 23. |
Check and correct transmission fluid level
|
|
|
