Preliminary Procedure

1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the front compartment insulator. Refer to . Front Compartment Insulator Replacement
3. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection

Exhaust Temperature Sensor - Position 1

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure

1. Disconnect the exhaust temperature wiring harness plug.
2. After the replacement of exhaust temperature sensor, use a scan tool to perform the appropriate reset function. Refer to . Engine Control Module Programming and Setup

Tighten
45 N·m (33 lb ft)
