Exhaust Gas Recirculation Pipe Replacement

Preliminary Procedures

1. Open the hood.
2. Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to . Engine Sight Shield Replacement
3. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to . Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
4. Open the front compartment insulator service opening.
5. Disconnect the exhaust gas recirculation valve wiring harness plug.

Exhaust Gas Recirculation Pipe Bolt (Qty: 5)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure

Install a NEW exhaust gas recirculation pipe gasket prior installation of the pipe.

         Tighten
•  M6x12 (Qty: 3) 8 N·m (71 lb in)
•  M6x25 (Qty: 2) 9 N·m (80 lb in)
