Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Fuel Pressure Sensor Replacement

Component Name

Warning: Gasoline or gasoline vapors are highly flammable. A fire could occur if an ignition source is present. Never drain or store gasoline or diesel fuel in an open container, due to the possibility of fire or explosion. Have a dry chemical (Class B) fire extinguisher nearby.
Warning:  Refer to Safety Goggles and Fuel Warning .

Preliminary Procedures

1. Open the hood.
2. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to . Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
3. Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to . Engine Sight Shield Replacement
4. Disconnect the fuel injection fuel rail pressure sensor wiring harness plug.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten
70 N·m (52 lb ft)

Tip
After the replacement of the fuel injection fuel rail pressure sensor, use a scan tool to perform the appropriate reset/learn function. Refer to Engine Control Module Programming and Setup .
