Fuel Injection Fuel Return Hose ReplacementRemoval Procedure

| Warning: Do not allow smoking or the use of open flames in the area where work on the fuel or EVAP system is taking place. Anytime work is being done on the fuel system, disconnect the negative battery cable, except for those tests where battery voltage is required. |
| Warning: Always wear safety goggles when working with fuel in order to protect the eyes from fuel splash. |
| 1. | Open the hood. |
| 2. | Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection . |
| 3. | Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement . |
| 4. | Remove the fuel injection fuel return hose (1) from the diesel fuel separator (2). |
| 5. | Loosen the 4 fuel injector return hose clamps (1). |
| 6. | Remove the fuel injection fuel return hose assembly (2). |
Installation Procedure
| 1. | Install the fuel injection fuel return hose assembly (2). |
Note: Ensure the correct position of the clamps. |
| 2. | Clip in the 4 fuel injection fuel return hose clamps (1). |
| 3. | Connect the fuel injection fuel return hose (1) to the diesel fuel separator (2). |
| 4. | Install the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement . |
| 5. | Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection . |
| 6. | Close the hood. |
