Generator Bracket Replacement (1.7L Diesel LPL, LPV, LUD, LUE, LKR)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement .

2. Remove the 2 engine wiring harness connector bracket bolts (2).
3. Hang the engine wiring harness connector bracket (1) aside.

Note:  Mind the different bolt lengths.
4. Remove the 4 generator bracket bolts (2).
5. Remove the generator bracket (1).

Installation Procedure

1. Install the generator bracket (1).
2. Install the 4 generator bracket bolts (2).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Note:  Mind the different bolt lengths.
3. Tighten the M10 bolts to 48N·m (35 lb ft) .
4. Tighten the M14 bolt to 68N·m (50 lb ft) .

5. Position the engine wiring harness connector bracket (1).
6. Install the 2 engine wiring harness connector bracket bolts (2) and tighten to 9 N·m (80 lb in) .
7. Install the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement .
