Starter Replacement (LBS with Start/Stop System)
Removal Procedure

Remove the auxiliary water
pump bracket bolt (1) from the auxiliary water pump bracket
(2). |

Remove the starter positive
cable nut (5) and the starter positive cable (4). |
8. |
Remove the starter and
generator positive cable nut (6) and the starter and generator
positive cable (7). |
9. |
Remove the ground cable nut
(2) and the ground cable (1) from the starter (3). |
10. |
Remove the 2 starter bolts
(4). |
11. |
Remove the starter stud
(2). |
12. |
Hang the auxiliary water pump
bracket (1) along with the auxiliary water pump aside. |
13. |
Remove the starter (3).

Installation Procedure
1. |
Install the starter
(3). |
2. |
Position the auxiliary water
pump bracket (1) along with the auxiliary water pump to the starter
(3). |
3. |
Install the starter stud (2)
and tighten to 22 N·m (16 lb ft) .

4. |
Install the 2 starter bolts
(4) to the starter and tighten to 22 N·m (16 lb
ft) . |
5. |
Install the ground cable (1)
and the ground cable nut (2) to the starter (3) and tighten to
12.5 N·m (111 lb in) . |
6. |
Install the starter and
generator positive cable (7) and the starter and generator positive
cable nut (6) and tighten to 13 N·m (115 lb
in) . |
7. |
Install the starter positive
cable (4) and the starter positive cable nut (5) and tighten to
5 N·m (44 lb in) . |
10. |
Install the auxiliary water
pump bracket bolt (1) to the auxiliary water pump bracket (2) and
tighten to 23 N·m (17 lb ft) . |
