Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Cooler Assemble

Install the water pipe (2) in
conjunction with a NEW seal ring (1). |
| 2. |
Install the water pipe bolt
(3) and tighten to 8 N·m (71 lb in)
. |
| 3. |
Install the water pipe (2) in
conjunction with a NEW seal ring (1). |
| 4. |
Install the water pipe bolt
(3) and tighten to 8 N·m (71 lb in)
. |
| 5. |
Install the cooling module (6)
to the tank assembly (2) in conjunction with a NEW sealing
(3). |
| 6. |
Install the tank assembly (2)
to the exhaust gas recirculation valve module (4) in conjunction
with a NEW sealing (5). |
| 7. |
Install the 5 tank assembly
bolts and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
. |
| 8. |
Clean all sealing surfaces and
install a NEW exhaust gas recirculation valve gasket (1).

| 9. |
Install the 4 exhaust gas
recirculation valve gasket bolts (2) and tighten to 10
N·m (89 lb in) . |
| 10. |
Install the exhaust gas
recirculation valve gasket (5). |
| 11. |
Install the exhaust gas
recirculation valve (3). |
| 12. |
Install the 2 exhaust gas
recirculation valve bolts (4) and tighten in two passes:

First pass handtighten.

12.2 |
Second pass to 10
N·m (89 lb in) . |
| 13. |
Install the exhaust gas
recirculation valve cooler actuator (2). |

Turn the exhaust gas
recirculation valve cooler actuator clockwise in order to fasten it
to the bracket. |

Clip in the actuating rod (see
arrow in picture). |
| 14. |
Install the thermostat housing
(3) in conjunction with a NEW seal ring (5). |
| 15. |
Install the 3 thermostat
housing bolts (4) and tighten to 8 N·m (71 lb
in) . |
| 16. |
Install the temperature sensor
(1) and tighten to 22 N·m (16 lb ft)
. |
| 17. |
Install the exhaust gas
recirculation actuator valve bracket (1). |
| 18. |
Install the exhaust gas
recirculation actuator valve bracket bolt (2). |
| 19. |
Install the exhaust gas
recirculation actuator valve (4) in conjunction with the vacuum
hose. |
| 20. |
Install the 2 exhaust gas
recirculation actuator valve bolts (3). |
| 21. |
Install the vacuum hose (3) to
the exhaust gas recirculation actuator valve and exhaust gas
recirculation actuator. |
| 22. |
Install the vacuum hose (2) to
the retainer (1) and to the vacuum tank. |
