Turbocharger Cleaning and Inspection (2.0L Diesel LBS, LBX, and
LCD)

Note: Completely
inspect the turbocharger and all other engine components that may
cause similar conditions before replacing the turbocharger.

Clean all mating
surfaces. |
| 2. |
Inspect all threaded holes for
damage. |
| 3. |
Inspect the wastegate actuator
rod (1) for damage and functionality. |
| 4. |
Inspect the compressor and
turbine blades for damage or foreign material. |
| 5. |
Clean the turbocharger inlet
mating surfaces. |
| 6. |
Inspect the turbocharger inlet
mating surfaces for damage. Replace the turbocharger if damage is
found. |
| 7. |
Inspect the turbocharger
wastegate regulator solenoid hoses for damage. Replace the hoses if
necessary. |
