Valve Lifter Replacement

1.	Open the hood.

2.	Remove the camshaft housing. Refer to Camshaft Housing Replacement .

Note: If the valve rocker arms will be reused mind the installation position to ensure they will be installed in their original position.

3.	Remove the 16 valve rocker arms with the valve lifters (1).

Note: Unclip the valve lifter from the valve rocker arm in direction as shown (arrow). Mind to the centring link on the retaining spring (3).

4.	Remove the 16 valve lifters (2) from the valve rocker arms (1).

Note: Clean the valve lifters and the surrounding areas. Lubricate the valve lifters with engine oil.

Note: Clip the valve lifter to the valve rocker arm in direction as shown (arrow). Mind to the centring link on the retaining spring (3).

1.	Install the 16 valve lifters (2) to the valve rocker arms (1).

2.	Install the 16 valve rocker arms with the valve lifters (1).

Note: In case of reusing the valve rocker arms put them back in the original position.

3.	Install the camshaft housing. Refer to Camshaft Housing Replacement .

4.	Close the hood.
