Oil Pump Replacement

Special Tools

EN-46793   Installer

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the timing belt. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement .
2. Remove the crankshaft sprocket. Refer to Crankshaft Sprocket Replacement .
3. Remove the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .

Note:  Mark the position of the bolts because of the different length.
4. Remove the 8 oil pump bolts (1).
5. Remove the oil pump (2) and the oil pump gasket (3).

6. Remove the crankshaft front oil seal ring (1) from the oil pump (2).

Installation Procedure

1. Clean the threads and sealing surfaces.
2. Install a NEW oil pump gasket (3).
3. Install the oil pump (2).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution .


Note:  Use locking agent to the (M6x20) bolts.
Leave one bolt out, for the special tool in the timing belt procedure.
4. Install the 7 oil pump bolts (1) and tighten to 9 N·m (80 lb in) .

Note:  Moisten the crankshaft front oil seal ring with a little silicone grease.
5. Install the crankshaft front oil seal ring by using the EN-46793   installer .
6. Install the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
7. Install the crankshaft sprocket. Refer to Crankshaft Sprocket Replacement .
8. Install the timing belt. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement .
