Front Axle Shaft Seal Replacement - Right Side

Component Name

Caution: Always use the proper automatic transmission fluid listed. Using incorrect automatic transmission fluid may damage the vehicle.

Remove battery tray. Refer to . Battery Tray Replacement

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to . Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

Remove front compartment insulator. Refer to . Front Compartment Insulator Replacement

Drain transmission fluid.

Remove the front wheel drive intermediate shaft. Refer to . Front Wheel Drive Intermediate Shaft Replacement

Note:

If equipped with an axle seal dust cover, discard it and do not replace it.

Clean the seal bore in the transmission housing.

Inspect the transmission fluid level. Refer to . Transmission Fluid Level and Condition Check
