Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove front compartment insulator. Refer to . Front Compartment Insulator Replacement
2. Inspect the transmission fluid level. Refer to . Transmission Fluid Drain and Fill

Transmission Fluid Cooler Plastic Cap (Qty: 2)

Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose / Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting (Qty: 2)

Procedure

•  Pull the plastic cap back from the quick connect fitting and down along the cooler hose about 5 cm (2 in).
•  Using a bent-tip screwdriver, pull on one of the open ends of the retaining ring in order to rotate the retaining ring around the quick connect fitting until the retaining ring is out of position and can be completely removed.
•  Remove and discard the retaining ring from the quick connect fitting.
•  Pull the cooler hose straight out from the quick connect fitting.
