Front Quarter Panel, Replace Partially

Models 33, 35, 43, 43-B, 45

The following describes replacement for Models 33, 43, 43-B For Models 35, 45 only cutting line is shown.

Install

Remove attaching parts.

Remove cemented side window on Models 33, 35, 43, 45.

Remove side window (sash window) on Model 43-B.

Separate quarter panel.

Prepare connecting flange.

Fit new part (economy part) (A = Cut).

The following economy parts are provided:

1   =   for Models 33, 43

2   =   for Models 35, 45

Note excess material for overlapping at cut edge above wheel cut-out.

Crimp flange using commercially available crimping pliers.

Install

Clean flange to be welded.

Apply spot welding paint, spot welding tape.

Weld in front quarter panel.

Seal body seams.

Seal hollow space in sill panel with wax.

Protect seat belt retractors against wax.

Spray wax between wheel housing and quarter panel.

Spray underseal on edge of wheel housing.
