Rear Spoiler, Service Install

Models 33, 34 (GSi)

Install

Remove panelling of tail gate (Plug Remover KM-569).

Drill holes according to dimensions given in tail gate:

6 x 7 mm/0.26 in. holes in outer panel;

4 x 7 mm/0.26 in. holes in frame.

X  =   Centre of tail gate

A  =   Screen trim moulding;

Illus. C 4960: Left half of tail gate (inner)

1   =   Centre-punch (standard in frame)

2   =   Assembly opening (standard in frame)

Protect edges of holes against corrosion.

Bolt rear spoiler to tail gate.

1   =   Rear spoiler

Spoiler attaching parts:

2   =   Oval head screw M 6 x 55 (2)

3   =   Oval head screw M 5 x 40 (2)

4   =   Seal (round)

5   =   Hex nut (M 5) with washer (2)

6   =   Seal, oval (2)

Install panelling of tail gate.

Replace both gas pressure lifters with new parts with symbol "SPOILER".
