Rear Spoiler, Service Install

Models 33, 34 (GT)

P & A supplies spoiler installation kits for service installation for vehicles with right or left hand drive (varying pin distances on spoiler), and versions with or without rear wiper.

Install

Version with rear wiper is described.

Remove rear screen wiper arm.

Remove inner panelling (Plug Remover KM-569).

Drill holes.

Transfer hole dimensions of spoiler to tail gate (C 6079).

Drill 5 x 7 mm/0.26 in. holes in tail gate.

Drill 2 x 7 mm/0.26 in. holes in frame of tail gate.

Centre punches are provided as standard in tail gate frame.

Protect edges of holes against corrosion.

Thoroughly clean contact surface of spoiler on tail gate (silicon remover or cleaning petrol).

Remove protective backing of adhesive tape from spoiler.

If the adhesive tape is damaged, replace with new part 17 19 290 - 90 008 905 (double-sided adhesive tape, 19 mm/0.74 in. wide).

Bolt spoiler to tail gate.

(Attaching parts are included in the installation kit).

1   =   5 x seals

2   =   3 x hex nuts M 5 with washers

3   =   2 x adhesive tapes, left and right sides (indicated)

4   =   2 x hex bolts M 5 x 35 (for left and right sides)

5   =   2 x washers

Replace gas pressure lifters with new parts with identification "SPOILER".

Install attaching parts of tail gate.
