Weatherstrip for Swing-Out Type Rear Quarter Window, Replace

Remove

Remove inner rear quarter trim panel.

Remove rear quarter window.

Cut cemented weatherstrip with rubber mount from body.

Unroll weatherstrip from body using pliers.

2   Cement bead

3   Weatherstrip

Install

Apply Glass Cement (15 04 856 - 90 273 761) to remaining cement bead on bodywork.

Cement bead must have a diameter of approx. 6 mm/0.24 in. (illus. C 1962, X - X).

Clean surface of new weatherstrip to be cemented with cleaning benzine. Place weatherstrip in bodywork.

Install rear quarter window.

Press weatherstrip into place for approx. 4 hours with window closed.

Working temperature: > 20° C/68° F.

Cement is hardened by air humidity.
