Damper Bushings on Vehicle Underbody, Replace - Models 38 and 48

Lift rear axle slightly using hydraulic jack.

Unscrew attachment for rear spring at attachment shackle.

Object Number: 2375989 Size: DEFAULT

Remove hex nut for attaching shackle to underbody.

Remove shackle with bolt.

Lever out bushings to left and right and remove.

Object Number: 2375990 Size: DEFAULT

Insert new bushings from right and left in bracket on vehicle underbody until flush with collar.

Insert shackle with bolt. Install opposite shackle and mount hex nut.

Object Number: 2375991 Size: DEFAULT

Raise rear axle with rear spring so that rear spring can be mounted at shackle of vehicle underbody.

Tighten fastening nut on bolt - 35 Nm/25.8 lbf. ft.

Tighten shackle attachment at rear spring - 65 Nm/47.9 lbf. ft.
