CHECKING
OPERATIONS
Brake
Disc, Rear (Disc Hub), Check for Runout
Release
parking brake.
Raise
vehicle.
Remove rear wheel.
Mark
position of rear wheel relative to hub.
Check
wheel bearing play and adjust if necessary.
See corresponding operation in group F.
Fasten
Dial Gauge KM-572 to brake caliper with magnet holder as shown in
illustration.
Set
gauge probe tip approx. 10 mm/0.4 in. from outer edge of disc hub,
perpendicular to disc hub and under slight pre-load.

Permissible lateral runout
max. 0.1 mm/0.004 in.
If
the lateral runout is greater than the permissible value, check whether
precision turning of the disc hub is possible.

If
precision turning is not possible, replace the disc hub.

corresponding operation in group F.
Remove dial gauge.
Fit rear wheel and tighten to
90 Nm (66.4 lbf. ft.).
Lower vehicle.
