Adjust parking brake.

Parking brake must be released.

Raise vehicle. Check brake cable for free movement.

Turn self-locking nut on brake compensation yoke until rear wheels are difficult to turn.

Then loosen self-locking nut until rear wheels are just free.

Vehicles with Catalytic Converter:

Install heat shield.

The adjustment of the parking brake can also be checked at the cam on the arm of the parking brake shoe lever.

Remove plug from brake anchor plate.

The cam must lie flush or have lifted by max. 2 mm/0.079 in from the arm of the brake shoe lever.

Reinsert plug in brake anchor plate.

Lower vehicle.
