Trouble-Shooting Chart (2 E 3 Carburettor)

 

 

Note!

Conditions for the use of this chart are:

Engine functions without problems

(timing, valves etc.)

Ignition system and adjustment without problems

Intake system without leaks

Exhaust system without problems

Correct control of intake air pre-heating

Clean air filter

Fuel pressure to carburettor

 

Complaint

 

Cold start (starting)

 

 

Warming up (stalling after cold starting)

 

 

 

Cold idle speed too high/too low

 

 

 

 

Cold driving characteristics/transition (pick-up poor, bucking)

 

 

 

 

 

Automatic choke cuts out incompletely or late

 

 

 

 

 

 

Warm start (starting time over 5 s)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Idle speed (uneven, too high, too slow)
