Thermo-Time
Valve, Check
Preconditions: Thermo-time valve (1) at ambient
temperature (approx. 20 °C/68 °F).
Current supply to plug (2) of thermo-time valve must
be functioning properly with ignition switched on (at least 11.5 V).
- Measure resistance as shown (6 ±1.5 W at 20 to 30 °C/68 to 86 °F).
- Connect Vacuum Hand Pump MKM-667 as shown and
create pressure difference.
Thermo-time
valve must be open.
- Connect plug (2) to thermo-time valve (1)
with ignition switched on and, by continuously operating the vacuum hand
pump, determine switchover time (4 to 10 s at +20 °C/68 °F) - until pressure diffference increases. Replace
thermo-time valve, if necessary.
