Thermostat, Remove and Install

 

The thermostat (temperature regulator) is located in the upper neck of the water pump.

 

Loosen hose clamps and remove coolant hose from fitting.

 

Catch escaping fluid.

 

 

Remove tension spring from ring groove in pump neck using a screwdriver. Pull out thermostat.

 

Insert thermostat with new rubber seal ring.

 

Arrow on collar points upwards.

 

Fasten coolant hose and fill coolant.
