Oil Pan Gasket, Replace (16 DA, 17D)

Drain engine oil.

Replace drain plug immediately after draining oil.

Unbolt oil pan.

Pull off gasket and clean sealing surface.

Coat seams (oil pump in front and bearing cap in rear) with sealing compound Catalogue No. 15 03 294 (90 001 851).

Slightly coat gasket with grease for better adhesion and press on to sealing surface.

Position oil pan and insert bolts with locking compound, Catalogue No. 15 03 165 (90 093 736).

Fill11 engine oil.

Check oil level.
