Connecting rods

 

Only con-rods of the highest weight class are supplied as replacement parts. For matching the weight to the con-rods still in the engine there is a colour code on the con-rod.

12 ST, 13 N, 13 S, C 13 N, 13 NB, 16 SH, 18 E, C 18 NT, C 18 NE

 

Permissible weight variation of con-rods without pistons and bearing shells within an engine

OHC and DOHC Petrol Engines

 

14 NV, C 14 NZ, 16 SV, C 16 LZ, E 16 NZ, C 16 NZ, 18 SE, E 18 NV, C 20 NE, 20 SEH, 20 NE, C 20 XE, 20 XE, 20 XEJ

 

Permissible weight variation of con-rods without pistons and bearing shells within an engine amounts to 8 g.

 

As the con-rods have no weight compensating studs, they cannot be reworked.

Con-rods can only be replaced as a set.
