Connecting
Rod Bearing, Replace
Remove
oil pan.
See
operation "Oil Pan Gasket, Replace" in this group.
Unbolt
connecting rod caps from the cylinders at "BDC" - either 2 and 3 or
1 and 4. Clean connecting rod journals.
Mark
connecting rod caps before removal.
Thickly
coat new bearing shell halves with oil and insert in connecting rods and
connecting rod bearing caps.
Mount
bearing caps.
Tighten
connecting rod bearing bolts.
Observe
prescribed torque. See Technical Data.
