Cylinder Head / Engine Block, Check for Plane Surface

Remove cylinder head.

Use a calibrated ruler and feeler gauge to check both longitudinal and transverse directions for bending, and across diagonals for warping (twisting).

Ensure that cylinder head height, dimension "B", is maintained after grinding.

Use a calibrated ruler and feeler gauge to check sealing surface of cylinder block in both longitudinal and transverse directions for bending and across diagonals for warping (twisting).

Ensure that correct piston projection is maintained after grinding.
