Valve Guide, Ream

 

Remove cylinder head.

                See corresponding operation.

Remove valves.

See operation "Cylinder Head, Disassemble and Assemble".

 

Measure valve guide with dial gauge and internal measuring instrument.

 

          Attention: Oversize valves may already be factory-installed.

Object Number: 2379446 Size: DEFAULT

 

 

Oversize valve guides are marked directly on the guides and oversize valves are marked on the stem end with the following identification numbers/letters.

     0.150        KM-664-2           2               K 2

Object Number: 2379447 Size: DEFAULT

Ream valve guide up to next oversize.

Valve guides should always be reamed from upper side of cylinder head so that more precise bore is on cone side.

 

After reaming a valve guide, scratch out now invalid identification marks and stamp in new size.

 

Install valves.

Install cylinder head.
